Delete Your Account

AutoMalaya OBD is local-first: your garage, scans and reports are stored on your own phone, not on our servers. We do not operate an application server that holds your diagnostic data. Deleting the app data on your device therefore deletes it.

Delete everything from inside the app

  1. Open AutoMalaya OBD.
  2. Go to Settings → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm.

This removes that account’s cars, scans, reports, service records, trips and reminders from the device, clears the home screen widget, and signs you out. If you had turned on private cloud sync, it also deletes the synced copy first.

What gets deleted

  • Your vehicles, scan history, health reports and used-car inspection reports.
  • Service records, maintenance reminders and recorded trips.
  • Your signed-in account details (name, email, account identifier) held on the device.
  • The private cloud snapshot, if sync was enabled — a small summary (car name, health score and date) kept in a hidden folder of your own Google Drive on Android, or your own iCloud on iPhone.

What is kept, and why

  • Purchase records. One-time purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. We never receive your payment details. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a purchase — contact Google or Apple for that. Your purchase can still be restored later on the same store account.
  • Support emails. If you emailed us, that correspondence stays in our mailbox until you ask us to remove it.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Uninstalling removes the on-device data with it. If sync was enabled, the copy in your own cloud storage may remain — you can remove it yourself, or email us and we will confirm what (if anything) is associated with your account and remove it.

Request deletion by email

You do not need to install the app to ask. Email support@automalaya.app from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my account. We will respond within 30 days, and normally much sooner.
